Services for J. Fred Pringle will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church with Pastor Steve Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Committal Building at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 Friday, November 24, 2017 at Price - McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
He died at 11;07 pm Monday, November 20, 2017 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1951 in Columbus to the late John Paul and Cleo (Fleming) Pringle. On September 15, 1973 he married Pat Litzenberg and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 3 sons, Garth (Dawn) Pringle of Maple Valley, WA; Thane (Tammy) Pringle of Kenton; and Kegan Pringle of Austintown, OH; 2 grandchildren, Maximus and Elijah Pringle, 2 stepsisters, Karen (Terry) Hindenlang of Lima; and Cheryl Geise; 1 stepbrother, Roger (LuAnn) Geise of FL; and his dog Murphy.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Irene Pringle-Collins.
Fred had worked at International Car, Durez, Ohio Northern University, and was an electrician working thru IBEW Local 32 Union Hall.
He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, IBEW Local 32 Union Hall, and was a former Boy Scout leader.
Fred enjoy cooking, fishing, camping, hunting, and hiking with family and friends. He was a practical joker, and was an avid football fan especially the Ohio State Buckeyes.
