A celebration of life for Edward O. Elliott II will be held from 2:00- 5:00 P.M. Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Ridgemont School Commons in Mt. Victory, Ohio. A memorial service with Pastor Steve Hess officiating will be held at 5:00 P.M. in the Ridgemont School Gymnasium.
He died at 9:13 am Saturday, January 30, 2016 at The OSU James Cancer Center. He was born on November 2, 1946 in Kenton to the late Edward O. and Frances Irene  (Willauer) Elliott. On June 24, 1967 he married Rosalie Shroyer and she survives in Mt. Victory.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Traci (Brian) Rader of Mt. Victory and Courtney (Tim) Kiper of Kenton; 1 son, Edward Scott (Erin) Elliott of Mt. Victory; 6 grandchildren, Alexis, Ashtin, and Alivia Elliott, Mackenzie Rader, Jeanalie and Willow Kiper. Also surviving are 4 sisters, Carol Burrey of Mt. Victory, Joan Wagner of Mt.Victory, Lynn (Michael) Shuster of Mt.Victory and Constance (George) Ulrich of Asheboro, NC; sister in law Donna (Steve) Bell of Ridgeway, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Carleigh Frances Rader; step mother Glenna Jean (Francis) Elliott, and a brother in law Roger Burrey.
He was a partner in the Plaza Inn restaurant, Hardin Motors, and the family farm. He also was a licensed Insurance agent for The Dana L. Baker Insurance.
He was a 1964 graduate of Ridgemont High School, a 1968 graduate of Bowling Green University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. He also was an Army veteran.
Ed was a Hardin County Commissioner from 1996 - 1999, 2009 to present. He was a member of the County, State, and National Levels of the Soil and Water Conservation District, Ohio Restaurant Association, Hardin County Farm Bureau, Hardin Memorial Hospital Board, and the Hardin County Republican Party. He also was a member of the Mt.Victory United Methodist Church, Delta Upsilion Fraternity and a was a former Hale Township Trustee.  He was active in many other community and national organizations.
Ed loved spending time with his family, fishing, and was a generous and caring man.
