Funeral services for Dimitri "Danny" Costoff will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, July 25, 2016 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Reverend Jonathan Hanover officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to services.
He died at 3:35 A.M. Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Hardin Hills. He was born in Kenton on November 16, 1924 to the Late Charles and Elena (Matoff) Costoff.
Surviving are a brother; Cyril (Violet) Costoff of Toledo and a nephew; Steven (Shane Thrailkill) Costoff of Washington D.C.
Danny was U.S. Army Veteran, who served in France during WWII, where he earned a purple heart. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kenton, where he sang in the choir for 30 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kenton.
Danny owned Charlie's Home Restaurant in Kenton for 10 years, but was associated with it for almost 30 years. When he wasn't working he enjoyed traveling, visiting with his family and friends, and he was an avid reader.
Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the donor's choice.
