Services for Delma "Pat" Jeanne Nelson will be private. Burial will take place in Dunkirk Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is handling the arrangements.
She died at 4:25 A.M. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at The Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. She was born on June 23, 1928 to the late Pearl Edward Kearns and Thelma Etta (Gibson) Kearns-Coleman. She married Herbert Amstutz and they later divorced. She then married Burnell F. Nelson in February of 1959 and he survives in Findlay.
Also surviving are 3 daughters; Bethany Amstutz-Elwood of Bellefontaine, Kimberlie (John) Nabors of Eagle River, AK., Patricia (Ed) Schoenberger of Plano, ILL., a step-daughter; Barbara Nelson-Decker of Oklahoma, a step-son; Dean Allen (Barb) Nelson of Findlay, and 2 grandchildren; Jonathan Schoenberger and Kara Nabors.
Pat was a homemaker, and a bookkeeper for various business her whole life.
She enjoyed sewing, and even volunteered to make night shirts for the Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago Illinois. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Pat was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Findlay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hardin County Humane Society.
