Private services for Brenda J. Rogers were held and are considered concluded
at this time.
Her son, Jerry, wanted her body to go home again one more time to her
childhood family farm, attended by her immediate family and performed by
John Price.
Jerry also then rode along with her body to the crematory, which was
performed by John, as well. Her cremains were returned to her family to be
cherished.
She died on July 3, 2016 at her residence.
She was born Oct. 12, 1933 to the late Oliver and Opal (Smith) Myers. On
June 21, 1953, she married Gerald L. Rogers and he preceded her in death on
March 29, 1997.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynne; two sons, Jody (Melanie) and Jerry; a
granddaughter, Kylie and a grandson, Colby.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Hesser Ansley and Belinda
³Jody² Myers.
She graduated from Belle Center High School.
Even though she worked her whole life, Brenda started at Hardin Memorial
Hospital on Jan. 29, 1979 as a Clerk. She retired on June 29, 2012 as an
Executive Assistant after scheduling nurses for 33 1/2 years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Brenda was Mrs. Claus, enjoyed her gardens, her favorite thing was to eat
out, but she especially loved her children.
The Price-McElroy Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
