Funeral Services for Alice Irene Johnson will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to services.

She died at 7:00 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born on February 22, 1927 in rural Marion County to the late Alvin and Mary Johnson. She then married Richard H. Johnson Sr., and they were married 49 years before he preceded her in death on July 2, 1996.

Surviving are a son; Ronald L. (Laura) Johnson of Dunkirk, a daughter; Carolyn Stokes of Bellefontaine, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son; Richard H Johnson Jr, a brother; Burton Johnson, and a sister; Nova K. Madison.

Alice enjoyed mowing her yard and doing word searches. Early in her life she liked to take her family to the drive in movie theater. Alice missed her husband and was ready to heaven and be with him again.
