Winnie was a long-time resident of Kenton and a young child when she started attending First United Methodist Church in Kenton. Her three sons all remember that going to church is what they did every Sunday. Winnie remained active in this church until the past couple of years, having sung in the choir for decades. With her amazing seamstress skill, she made seasonal and holiday banners that continue to be hung in the sanctuary.
She was an avid gardener and a wonderful cook and enjoyed hosting holiday meals which her children and grandchildren will always remember with fondness.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Winifred's honor may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Kenton.
