A celebration of life for Wilson Wages will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Wilson passed away on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Serenity Springs in Arlington. He was born on September 19, 1953, in Upper Sandusky to the late Wilson and Hazel (Montgomery) Wages Sr. He married Manuela "Nellie" Lopez in 1982, but they later divorced.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle (Dustin Scroggs) Wages of Dunkirk; his sons, Jason (Stephanie) Wages of Missouri, and Richard (Yi-Cheng) Johnson of California; his sister, Connie Cannode of Kenton; 7 grandchildren, Kymbrlee Wages, Kayden Arnett, C.J. Potter, Brendan Potter, Amelia Johnson, Sarah Johnson, and Richard Johnson III; 5 great-grandchildren, Athena, Aryanna, Liam, Madisyn, and Luthor; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie, Kyle, Bobby, Don, and Eugene Wages, and his sisters, Betty Scott and Patti Whitaker.
Wilson proudly served his country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Korea. He was also a member of the Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, attending sporting events, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wilson was an avid OSU fan and possessed a generous, giving nature, always willing to help anyone with anything.
