Funeral services for Willis Anderson will be private. Burial will take place at Patterson Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Willis died on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at  Vancrest of Ada. He was born in Kenton to the late Charles Anderson and Irene (Lotz) Rish. He met Helen Daynes while being deployed in the army in England, they were married and later divorced. He met a special friend, Bettie Rader and she preceded him in death. He then married Marion Fogle and she also preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son; Robert (Lisa) Anderson of Lima, a daughter; Jocelyn (Brian) Kavanagh of West Mansfield, a sister; Marilyn (Paul) Pemberton of Kenton, 2 half sisters; Nancy (Tom) Terrill, Linda (Ken) Green, a sister-in-law; Teresa Anderson, 4 grandchildren; Bob (Holly) Anderson, Alex (Kelli) Anderson, Charlotte (Jon) Appelfeller, Dustin (Kaitlyn) Long, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a half brother; David Anderson.
Willis was a 1949 graduate of Kenton High School. He joined the U.S. Army, and was stationed in England during the Korean Conflict.
Willis worked as a machinist for Rockwell for 30 years before his retirement. Once retired from Rockwell, he worked as a part time substitute rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for 29 years.
He was extremely involved in the Kenton community. He held memberships to the Greenwood Grange, Rockwell Retirees Club, the Kenton Moose and he gave blood to the Red Cross on a regular basis . He was a 37 year member of the Kenton Lions and a life member of the St. John's Evangelical Church in Kenton.
Willis also had his own hobby farm. He raised grain, beef steers, and rabbits. He also always had Shetland Ponies and was very proud of the "Roller and Tumbler" pigeons he raised and flew. 
The family of Willis Anderson would like to thank the staff of Bridge Hospice and Vancrest of Ada for their loving care during a hard time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kenton Lions Club or St. John's Evangelical Church in Kenton.
