Tara Lynn (Jackson) Deckling

Viewing hours for Tara Deckling (Jackson) will be held at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1-3pm. A short service led by Daniel McCarty will follow viewing hours at 3pm. 

Tara passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, peacefully at home. She was born February 25, 1961 in Kenton to Lewis and Wilma Jackson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Deckling. 

Surviving are her 3 sons, Adrian (Maureen) Terrill and daughter Victoria of Ridgewood, New Jersey, Sinclair Fay and sons Oliver/Theodore of Bowling Green, and Jackson (Morgan) Fay of Upper Sandusky, 6 siblings, Ceola Jackson of Cartersville GA, Patti (Jerry) Holley of Bellefontaine, Cinda (Mark) Terrill of Dunkirk, Brenda (Greg) Driskill of Dunkirk, Kelly (Velvet) Jackson of Mt. Victory, and Bobby (Lana) Jackson of Kenton, and many nieces and nephews. 

Tara was a 1979 graduate of Ridgemont High School. A majority of her working life, she ran a cleaning service in the area with a close partner. 

Tara was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, family, and her close-knit friend group. Tara also enjoyed her alone time and would play puzzle games, read, and watch movies. She always knew how to bring laughter and joy to people regardless of the circumstances. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tara’s name may be made to Universal Hospice.
