A celebration of life for Sonja S. McMillen will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at The Kenton Eagles. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sonja died on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on June 15, 1966 in Kenton to the late Warren and Sandra (Messer) Grier. She married Dean Scott and they divorced. She then married Dave McMillen and they also divorced. 
Surviving are a daughter; Brandi Scott, 2 sons; Zack (Elissa) McMillen, Derek (Christine) McMillen, grandchildren; Ella, Elijah, Gracie, Madison, Teagan, Jack, a brother; Scott Grier, and a significant other; Bill Shepard.
Sonja lived a colorful life and worked many different jobs but thrived with bartending and doing book work. She was a great listener and friend to many people throughout her life. Her pride and joy were always her children and grandchildren. She had been most recently employed by the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library which she adored.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library for their children's reading programs.
