of Richwood/Kenton
Funeral services for Shirlene Conley will be held at 6 pm, Thursday December 21, 2023, at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton, with her nephew, Jay Wilson officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until the time of services on Thursday, at the funeral home.
She passed away at 1:23am. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at her residence, peacefully surrounded by family. She was born on September 3, 1943, in Hardin County to the late Agnes (Carroll) Hattery and the late Morris Spangler, who came into her life and was a wonderful father. On September 26, 1959, she married Lionel Conley, who also preceded in death.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Mary Ann) Conley of Marysville and Melissa Conley of Delaware; grandchildren, Alan Buckland of Richwood, Josh Conley of Marysville, Lauren Buckland of Richwood, Marie Conley of Westerville, and Kameron Conley of Delaware, Ohio; great grandchildren, Zandria Buckland, Zarrah Buckland, Jorden Buckland, Aubree McConahay, Brooklyn McConahay and Remi Crofut. As well as a sister, Cathy (Roger) Kemmere of Kenton, brother, Gene (Tonya) Pettit of Kenton, brother-in-law, Jim Kougher of Kenton and sister-in-law, Diane (William) Hischke of Rochester Hill, MI, sister-in-law, Janet Spangler of Kenton and many nieces, and nephews to whom she dearly loved!
Preceded in death brother Bill (Bonnie) Pettit, brother Don Pettit, brother Roger (Donna) Spangler, sister Doris (Carl) Later, sister Dee Kougher, brother Walt (Celesta) Spangler, brother Jimmy Spangler, sister-in-law Connie Sharp and brother Pete Spangler.
Shirlene worked at Aetna of Columbus, Minerva Park Place of Columbus, and worked with her husband in their family business, Conley Hats.
She loved spending time with her family, especially at their pond, playing cards and Yahtzee.
