Funeral services for Ruth Louise Sayre will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor David Odegard officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. A live stream of the service can be found on the funeral home facebook page. Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed at all services.
Ruth died at her home unexpectedly on Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born on February 18, 1969 in Kenton to the late David Baldwin and Ethel (Gault) Thompson. On May 15, 1993 she married Robert Lee Sayer and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 3 children;  Olivia McDaniel of Forest, David Sayre of Mansfield, Ashley (Rick) Gault of Forest, grandchildren; Roan, Keagan, Ada, Lilly, Abraxas, Andy, Tony, Levi, Ashlynn, sisters; Candace (Curtis) Castle of Kenton, Teresa (Jim) Baldwin of Kenton, brother; David Baldwin of Forest, best friend; Nancy Martin, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a lot of great lady friends at Seton Kenton.
She was preceded in death by a grandson; Ricky Gault, step-mother; Barbara Baldwin, and step-father; Andrew Thompson.
Ruth attended part of her school career at Riverdale but graduated from Ohio Hi Point.
She attended the Quickstep Church in Alger, and was a council member for the Seton Kenton Activities Committee. She enjoyed playing Bingo and doing the painting classes at Seton Kenton as well.
Ruth was an avid OSU football fan and also enjoyed watching her soap operas and professional wrestling.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
