A funeral service for Ruth Adams will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the funeral home.
Ruth died on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Marion General Hospital. She was born on December 22, 1957 in Bellefontaine to the late Norma Lowe. On November 5, 2001 she married Tony Adams Sr. and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are a son; Joseph Vanhoose of Kenton, a step-son; Tony Adams Jr. of Kenton, a step-daughter; Michelle (Jeff) Zigler of Mount Pelier, a sister; Elizabeth Brown of Bellefontaine, a brother; Emmit (Vickie) Jennings of Quincy, 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step father; Norma and Robert Jennings, a brother; Bobby Jennings, a daughter; Clara Penny, and a step-son; Josh Adams.
Ruth attended various churches in the area while able. She was always reading her bible and taking notes. In her free time, Ruth enjoyed crocheting and watching T.V. Her favorite shows involved cooking, anything paranormal and she especially liked to watch pro wrestling. Ruth loved her family and will be deeply missed.
Memorial donations in Ruth's honor may be made to a local charity of the donor's choice.
