Ronald Jolliff Obituary

Funeral services for Ronald Ray Jolliff will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Cemetery. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ronald was born on August 22, 1934, at his home in Dunkirk to the late Gerald and Harriett (Holmes) Jolliff. He married Janet Arlene Rockwell on June 12, 1955, and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children; Laura (Ron) Johnson, Melissa Bowers, grandchildren; Ryan (Stephanie) Parsons, Beth (Robbie) Sarchet, Brad Bowers, Bill (Amanda) Johnson, Jeremiah (Bonnie) Johnson, Jordan (Angelica) Johnson, Shannon Kramer, Scott Kramer, 12 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, brother Jerry (Joyce) Jolliff and daughter-in-law, Madeline Jolliff.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Jolliff, and sister, Anna Mae Neal.

Ronald married Janet at the United Methodist Church in Patterson where he served for many years. Later in life he and his wife, Janet attended and participated in the Dunkirk Grace United Methodist Church for 25 years. He loved breakfasts every Saturday morning with his friends. Midway (Sisters) was his favorite in later years.

He graduated from the 1st Hardin Northern graduating class of 1953. He participated in sports as well as FFA and band. 

Ronald served in the National (Hardin Co.) Army Reserves from 1956-1962.

He worked at Cooper Tire, farmed and was a carpenter/contractor for many years. He enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada and playing cards on Friday nights with family and friends. Referred to as "card party" nights. He hunted for many years and was a member of the Forest Hunters Club from 1958 to 1970. Ronald was also a member of the Friendship Grange and National Grange and Kiwanis.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Hardin Northern Community Center in Dunkirk.
