Roger Douglas Carpenter 75
of Belle Center formerly of Bowling Green
A celebration of life for Roger Douglas Carpenter will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
Roger passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. He was born on January 23, 1949, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Charles and Gennell Ann (Tyrrell) Carpenter. On July 31, 1971, he married Linda Gagen and she survives in Bowling Green.
Also surviving are sons, Charles (Abby) Carpenter and Kevin (special friend Renee) Carpenter, granddaughters, Sarah, Marla and Maren, a brother, Gary (Diane) Carpenter, sisters, Sharon (Robert) Walker, Luann Carpenter, sister-in-law, Darlene Carpenter and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gennell (Tyrrell) Carpenter, sisters, Melva (Thomas) and Lois (Ronald) and a brother, John Carpenter.
Roger was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a farmer most of his life and was extremely passionate about the farming community. He also enjoyed hauling the Amish around and helping them with whatever he could.
Memorial donations in Roger's honor may be made to any organization that helps veterans in Wood County, Ohio.
