of Mt. Victory
Rodney Glenn Messner, age 59 of Mt. Victory passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024, with his wife, Gina, at his side.
A celebration of life service for Rod will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Price McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Interment of his ashes will take place at Hale Cemetery in Mt. Victory at a later date.
Rod was born April 21, 1965, to Charles W. and Karen K. Messner, and his father preceded him in death. On November 21, 1992, he married Gina (McKinley) Messner, and she survives in Mt. Victory. Rod is also survived by his son, Ryan C. Messner of Kenton, his faithful K9 companion Max, as well as his mother Karen Messner, sister Pennie Oswalt, and in-laws Donald and Linda Houchin and David and Jerelyn McKinley.
Rod was a truck driver for the majority of his life and most recently worked at Graphic Packaging.
The family would like to thank the staff at Universal Hospice, especially Cindy, for their expert care of Rod during his illness.
