A celebration of life for Robert "Bob" L. Lawrence will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bob passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2024, at the Marion General Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1955, in Kenton to the late Robert D. and Martha (Webb) Lawrence. On March 29, 1991, he married Debbie Decker, and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 2 sons, Scott (Rhonda) Lawrence of Marion, Toby (Kim) Kissling of New Bloomington, a daughter, Lori (Todd) Madison of Bucyrus, a brother, Mike (Cathy) Lawrence of Clear Water, Fl, a sister, Kathy Vermillion of Kenton, grandchildren; Kyle (Kendra), Logan (Jacob), Keaton, Allison (Arron), Chris, Owen, Olivia, Matthew, Emma (Nate), Robert "Jr" III, Michael, great-grandchildren; Kylynn, Kayden, Kinsley, Landon, Lainey, Liam, Renny, Si, Tatem and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert D. Lawrence II, a brother, Ralph Lawrence, and a sister, Angela Burd.

Bob was a graduate of Kenton High School. He went on to get his teaching certificate from OSU. He taught construction trades from Ohio High Point Career Center from which he retired. He also worked as an electrician. Bob was a proud U.S. Army veteran.

Bob was an avid fisherman. Anywhere, anytime he loved to fish. He looked forward to Thursday night bass tournaments with all of his buddies at France Lake in Kenton during the summer. In the winter he and Deb would head to Florida for a couple months so Bob could do more fishing and was always hopeful he was going to catch the "Big One''. He was a family man and also really enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling his grandkids.
