Robert "Bob" Arnold Obituary

Robert "Bob" Wayne Arnold 86

of Mt. Victory

On September 26, 2025, a Celebration of Life will be held for Bob at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory, Ohio. From 12:00 P.M.  until 2:00 P.M. The family will receive friends and family to Celebrate Bob's life and the memories of his connection to all. The "Celebration" will begin at 2:00 P.M. and the service will be led by Pastor Kevin Hall and Pastor Barbara Jean Pope. After the service at Price-McElroy Funeral Home we will make the trip to Hale Cemetery for Military Rites and internment and then those who would like to go to the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church and share a meal with the family will be very welcomed.

Bob's life was one of many, many roads that covered a lot of the world and Ohio. We would like to have Bob's life be shared with those attending, showing what his life was really like. We would love to see you wearing t-shirts and/or hats of how you were connected to Bob in all avenues of his life and share something about your connection to him.

Bob grew up a farm boy, to a member of the United States Navy, to a carrier called the U.S.S Kearsarge CVA 33, to living in San Diego with his wife and two sons, to various jobs that gave him a wider view of the world on to working at the Rexall Drug King that encompassed many hours as shift manager. Returning to Ohio with his sons Bobby and Jim to live with his mom and dad in Killdeer near Marseilles Ohio.

Bob's time in the Navy and because of his Navy time he also loved racing on a sailboat, Warlord, owned by his brother-in-law, Dr. James Pleasant, on Lake Erie, Village of Mt Victory Council, Ridgemont Athletic Boosters for 20 years, Ridgemont School for 20 years with our four kids in all kinds of sports, Brownies and gymnastics, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of 189 Troop, V.F.W. service with 6817, Ohio State Buckeyes football of which he was a great fan, Browns and Bengals fan, coaching little league baseball for his sons, helping build the first football field for Ridgemont, being involved with the Athletic Boosters at the Coon Chase to make the funds to support the Ridgemont sports teams. Helping build the elevator for the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church, remodeling the parsonage not once but twice, became an important part of the church and all of the activities of the church. He loved hunting and fishing, and his passion for raising tame rabbits for food and his kids to show in 4-H where they won championships for many years at the Hardin County Fair. Bob also was a great cook, but his best things were his vegetable soup and chili soup for the church during the Village Open House in the fall.

Bob will be remembered for many things and that is part and parcel of this service. Come and share what you remember about him!!!

In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's name to the Mt. Victory United Methodist Church would be honoring his work for God and his community. The family hopes to see many of you on this day of Celebrating Bob's life.
