Funeral services for Richard “Rick” Louis Ray, 68 of Kenton will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton officiated by Pastor Jason Manns. Family and Friends may visit from 2 hours prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery.

On August 21st 2021 Richard “Rick” Louis Ray, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Kenton on November 9th, 1952 to the late Paul and Hazel (Downey) Ray. On July 3rd, 1971 he married Elizabeth (Heffelfinger) Ray who survives.

Surviving are 2 children; Richard (Missy) Ray, Amy (Korey Critchfield) Ray, 1 sibling Steve (Peggy) Ray, 8 grandchildren; Jessica Jones, Kristin Ray, Devin (Jamiee) Ray, Christopher Ray, Brayden Ray, Austin Ray, Cody (Leiah) Ray, Ashley (Eric) Thompson, 6 great-grandchildren Halleigh, Delilah, Jasmine, Isabella (Bella), Sutton, Aydan and his fur baby Molly.

He is preceded in death by 3 siblings; Charlie Ray, Paulette Ray and Danny Ray

Richard was a 1971 Kenton High School graduate. He worked at Rockwell (Meritor) for 30 years from which he later retired. He then worked for Ridgemont Local Schools, Benjamin Logan Schools, Simon Kenton Schools and a Volunteer FireFighter for Ridgeway Fire Department from which later fully retired. He loved to fish, ride his motorcycle trike, and spend time with his family and friends.

Richard would like to invite all fellow riders to join him one last time on his final ride to his resting place.
