He was an experienced carpenter whose career spanned 40 plus years and he belonged to The Carpenters Union, Local 200. His career started with Harris & Jolliff Lumber Co. in Byhalia, Oh. and he mentioned that during that time he built the first pole barn in this area. Dick was known in the community by his cowboy hat and big heart, often handing out $5 bills to his grandkids and great grandkids. He deeply loved his family and friends. Dick loved to travel out west to see his family. You sometimes weren't sure what he would say next, but he loved life and having fun. He enjoyed collecting old cars and attending car shows. He never missed a local fair and enjoyed all the "fair food". He belonged to The Rushsylvania Church of Christ, and generously supported several charities in the community. He will be missed by good friends, Lowell Brown, of near Mt. Victory & Rodney Britton of Mt. Victory.
