Ray Allen Draper Jr., 71, of Kenton, passed away on January 24, 2026, at his home in Kenton.
He was born on June 24, 1954, in Kenton to the late Ray A. Draper Sr. and Catherine (Hendricks) Draper. He married Roberta Tschudy, and they later divorced. He then married Nyra Lynn Fay, who preceded him in death in 2015.
Surviving is his brother, Kenneth (Regina) Draper of Kenton; his sister, Cathy "Buttons" (Mike) Schoenberger of Upper Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Carol Ann and Greg Lee Cozad.
Ray was a 1973 graduate of Kenton High School and a member of the Kenton Eagles. Throughout his life, he held various positions in Ohio, Florida, and Tennessee. His favorite role was serving as a greeter at the Kenton Walmart, where he enjoyed making new friends and never met a stranger. He also had a great love for his dogs and enjoyed searching for deals at flea markets.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ray's honor may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
