Funeral services for Ralph Douglas Hamilton will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Jason Manns officiating. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
Ralph passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He was born on April 21, 1952, in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Ralph and Margaret Hamilton. He married Barbara Gambrell on August 23, 2011, and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are daughters; Tina (John) Jackson of Junction City, Ohio, Terra Stiers of Lancaster, Ohio, son, Harold Lee Hamilton of Athens, Ohio, step-son, Eddie (Patty) Simon of Puyallup, Washington, granddaughters; Melissa (Ethan) Fulk, Crystal Lucas (Daniel ) Corning, Jessica (Jared) Bowers, grandson; Dustin Hamilton, 10 great-grandchildren, brothers; Donald Hamilton of Washington, Chuck (Jane) Schooley of Lancaster, Ohio, Dick (Diana) Schooley of Lancaster, Ohio, and sister, Judy Karinshak of Arlington, Virginia, numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers; Dennis Hamilton and Ronald Schooley.
Ralph was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He was a member of Eagles Lodge in Kenton.
Ralph enjoyed camping with his wife at the Eagles Campground outside of Bellefontaine, where he loved to dance to the live bands that would play there.
He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching them play.
Memorial donations in Ralph's honor may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
