Phyllys M. (Sheldon) Newland

Phyllys M. Newland, 91 of Mount Victory, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026.  She was born February 16, 1935, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Carl and Dorothy (Zickafoose) Sheldon.

Phyllys is survived by her husband, Ora Newland and recently celebrated their 73rd year of marriage. Phyllys is also survived by her three sons, David (Teresa) Newland and Michael Newland both of Mount Victory and Thomas (Pamela) Newland of Kenton, grandchildren Shane Newland, Aaron (Jill) Newland, Carrie Newland, Dustin Newland, Brody (Kate) Newland, Kaitlyn (Justin) Harshfield, and Gregory (Allison) Newland and several great grandchildren.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Charles Sheldon, Junior Sheldon, and Ronnie Sheldon.

Phyllys was a 1953 graduate of Kenton High School.  She was a homemaker and teacher aid before her retirement.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial donations in Phyllys' honor may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
