of Kenton
A Mass of Christian Burial for Perry F. Hopkins will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton with Father Ryan Schmit officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Kenton. Friends and family may visit 1 hour prior to the services at the church. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Perry passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at the Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Perry M. and Marcella (Loeffler) Hopkins. He married Lolita LoFranco on September 10, 1966, and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving is a son, Perry (Jayme) Hopkins of Kenton, grandchildren, Adam Hopkins, Karyn Hopkins, Brian Hopkins, Katelyn Hopkins, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin, sisters; Judy, Barbara, Audrey, 2 infant sisters; Dorothy and Patsy, and an infant grandson, Noah Hopkins.
Perry proudly served in the US Navy.
He worked at the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for many years before moving to Kenton. After coming to Kenton, he worked maintenance for the Hardin County Council of Aging,
Perry was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Kenton and the Kenton Elks.
He enjoyed camping, spending time with family and going to his grandkids sporting events. In his spare time Perry would participate in the Civil War Reenactments. You would always see him with his Navy Hat on and his cane in hand.
Memorial donations in Perry's honor may be made to St. Vincent Depaul.
