of Kenton
Services for Paul J. Hatcher will be held at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in
Kenton on January 26, 2024, at 1:00pm. He died on Thursday January 11,
2024. He was born on March 25,1927, to the late Joseph and Margaret
(McCullough) Hatcher in Kenton, Ohio.
He is survived by his brother John Hatcher (Phyllis). Also surviving are his
two daughters, Anne (Alan) Pickett, Napa, CA. and Mary (Craig) Curtis,
Columbus, Ohio. Five grandchildren Rachel (Andrew) Pieper, Benjamin
Pickett, Kendall Pickett. Devon (Eva) Curtis, Graham Curtis. Two great
grandchildren Myles and Mac Pieper.
Paul served in the Navy during WWII and then came home and graduated
from Kenton Senior High School in 1947 where he met his wife Jean
Copeland and married June 25, 1950. In 1948 Paul began his career with
the U.S.Postal Service where he retired in 1988. He enjoyed many years
as a Mason, member of the First United Methodist Church, Lifetime
member of Hardin Co. Coon Hunters Club, Served 30 years the licensing
agent for fishing and hunting. One of Paul’s fondest memories was helping
Little League Baseball get started in Kenton.
Paul’s family would like to thank the caregivers at The Claremont
Retirement Village, especially Bubbles and The Suncrest Hospice.
