of Xenia formerly of Mt. Victory
Norma Jeanne (Stephenson) Mathews, beloved by all who knew her, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024, at the age of 93 at her home in Xenia, Ohio. Born on March 14,1931, in Mt. Victory, Ohio, Jeanne lived a life filled with love, kindness, and an unyielding spirit of family service.
Jeanne was the oldest daughter of the late Van de Mark Monroe and Ardith Louise (Sherman) Stephenson, both of whom preceded her in death. She spent her formative years in Mt. Victory where she developed a deep love for literature.
Jeanne raised five children: Michael, Marc, Scott, Vanessa, and Tracey. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Her hobbies included shopping, reading, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was also a proud 65-year member of the Eastern Star.
Jeanne is survived by her sister Charlotte Sue (Stephenson) Ralston, children; Michael Holser, Marc Holser, Scott Holser, Vanessa Taylor, and Tracey Holcomb, her grandchildren, Jason, Samantha, Kelli, Vandemark, Stephanie, Alex, Willow, Jessica, and Kennedy, and several great grandchildren, and a nephew.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Sondra Eileen Stephenson.
Funeral services for Norma will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 15, 2024, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home.
