Funeral services for Mary Lou Barnett will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to services.
She passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 30, 1930 in Findlay to the late Charles and Grace (Orth) Caldwell. She married Lowell B. Gossard who preceded her in death. She then married Williard Barnett on September 22, 1984 who also preceded her in death on August 12, 2010.
Surviving are daughters; Connie Cavinee, Cheryl (Tony) Good, Kim (Kip) Webb, stepchildren; Deb Barnett, Shelly (Dwight) Webb, Jan (Ardis) Barnett, Jon Barnett, 10 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son; Wayne, a granddaughter; Liza Beth Gossard, a son-in-law; John Cavinee and a sister; Rosemary Carmean.
Mary Lou was a former member of Trinity Methodist Church and Community Bible Church, and had also attended Bridgeport Church. She was a 53 year member of the Eastern Star. She ran the family business after her husband Lowell passed away, and also worked at Carroll's Jewelers. She and Willy liked to travel and their trip to Israel and Egypt were both special to her. She enjoyed reading, flowers, and animals. Mary Lou loved her big family, especially the young ones.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dunkirk Community Center or the Dunkirk EMT's.
