of Kenton

Marjorie A. (Curtis) Umbarger left us peacefully on March 3, 2024, at the age of 82. She was born on February 8, 1942, in Kenton, Ohio.

She was known to many as "Marge or Margie." She grew up on a farm where she learned to sew and cook at a young age and was a proud member of 4H and FHA. Marge was a 1960 graduate of Belle Center High School, where she excelled academically, received the Betty Crocker Homemaker Award and participated in theater. After moving to Columbus, she met and married Malcolm. She and Malcolm had two children, Matthew and Melinda.

Marge was greeted in heaven by her loving husband Malcolm, her son Matthew, and parents, Mary Ethel and Neil Woodrow Curtis. 

She leaves behind her daughter Melinda (Paul), grandchildren Leslie (Matt), Christopher, Nicholas, Jessica & Eric, three great-grandchildren and younger brother, Russell (Mary) Curtis.

A service to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at the Price McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Conrad Esh officiating. Friends and Family may visit 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.
