Funeral services for Marjorie Lee Cannode will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Epworth United Methodist Church in Kenton with Pastor Steve Walter officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, March 29, 2021 at the church. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements. Masks will be required and Covid-19 protocols should be followed.
Marjorie died on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on February 17, 1942 in Mt. Victory to the late Rodney and Lillian (Hatcher) Britton. On August 24, 1958 she married Clarence E. Cannode and he preceded her in death on October 1, 2010.
Surviving are her children; Sherry (Myrl) Pash of Kenton, Janet (David) Jordan of Indiana, Penny Hauenstein of Bellefontaine, Freda (Steve) Brim of Colorado, Clarence Cannode II of Kenton, Jill (Brad) Case of Waynesfield, Amy (Steve) Walter of Kenton, Vanessa Bell of Kenton, grandchildren; Clint, Becky, Katie, Troy, Toby, Ty, Kelly, Mindy, Dallas, Hayden, Breanne, Alison, Stephanie, Sheldon, Spencer, Jonnell, Emily, Lauren, Brent, Molly, Grant, Kylie, Abbey, Gracie, Britton, Carter, 19 great-grandchildren, a brother; Rodney Britton of Mt. Victory, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter; Gloria Holbrook, an infant daughter; Teresa Cannode,a daughter-in-law; Michelle Cannode, brothers; Robert Britton, Donald Britton, Jack Britton, Pete Britton, William Britton, an infant brother; Daniel Britton, sisters; Freda Overly, Ruth Clyborn, and 2 infant sisters; Betty and Dorothy.
Marjorie was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Kenton, and she loved her church. She was active in Lambda OCCL, Buckeye Homemakers and the Kenton Band/Choir Boosters.She enjoyed attending the Hardin County Fair and won several 1st place ribbons for her pies. Marjorie loved children and babysat her whole life. She was a proud Kenton Wildcat.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Epworth United Methodist Church in Kenton.
