Funeral services for Marilyn Risner will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Mark Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 3 hours prior to services at the funeral home.
Marilyn died on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab. She was born on September 24, 1934 in Kenton to the late John and Marcena (Schriber) Baker. She married Robert Dean Risner and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2006.
Surviving are her children; Dede (Ron) Polen of Forest, John (Heather) Risner of Kenton, grandchildren; Amber (Brandon) Bupp of Wadsworth, Adam (Shannon Smith) of Santa Barbara, California, Braedon Risner of Kenton, Jocelyn Risner of Kenton, a great grandson; Jensen Bupp of Wadsworth, a sister; Betty Brashear of Swanton, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; Robert Michael Risner and a sister; Shirley Lince.
Marilyn was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church in Kenton, where she participated with the Hand of Faith Circle at the church.
Marilyn never knew a stranger and would talk with anyone about anything. She was a people person who loved to chit chat. Marilyn loved her grandchildren, and always enjoyed going to their sporting events and school activities.
