Linda (Vemillion) Garmon

Linda (Vermillion) Reese Garmon, 83, of Kenton, passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2025. Born on May 2, 1942, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Earl and Maxine Vermillion.  Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Reese, who passed away on August 26, 1992, and was remarried to Rowe Garmon on April 1, 1995.

Linda is survived by her children, Deborah Thiel, Darrin (Sara) Reese, and Darrel (Kelli) Reese, all of Kenton, as well as her cherished stepchildren, Tim (Vickie) Garmon of Ada, Mark (Chanda) Garmon of Forest, and Jay (Sherry) Garmon of Highland, Arkansas. She was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immeasurable joy and were central to her life.

A graduate of Kenton High School in 1960, Linda was an active member of the Walnut Grove Global Methodist Church in Kenton, where she spent many years of her life in service and fellowship. She had a deep faith, and the church community was a central part of her spiritual and social life.

Linda’s career spanned 26 years at Quest Federal Credit Union, where she served as a loan officer. She retired in 2006, but her impact was felt long after she left. Beyond her professional work, Linda was deeply involved in her community. She volunteered for the Hardin County Relay for Life and The United Way of Hardin County, where her compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others were evident. She was also a devoted attendee of the Hardin County Fair, a tradition that she looked forward to every year.

Linda’s passing leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her. Her warmth, generosity, and devotion to family and community will be remembered by all who had the privilege of calling her a friend and loved one.

A visitation will be held at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 where friends and family can gather to celebrate Linda's life and legacy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. 

Following the ceremony, all are invited to join the family for a dinner at Walnut Grove Methodist Church on US 68 North, Kenton. This will be a time for fellowship and remembrance, honoring Linda’s life and the love she so freely gave.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The United Way of Hardin County or Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay. These organizations held great meaning to Linda, and the family is grateful for any support extended to them in her memory.
