Funeral services for Lewis Earl Heilman Sr. will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Otterbein Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Friday at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
Lewis passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 12, 1943, in Kenton to the late Earl Lewis and Fern (Mouser) Heilman. He married Dixie Lee Cannode and she preceded him in death.
Surviving are grandchildren; Crystal Ledley, Nathan (Mary Beth Albert) Ledley, Dustin (Casey) Heilman, Chad (Megan) Heilman, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, sisters; Helene Fay, Peggy (Clayton) Weaver, Deb (Keith) Kavanagh, son-in law, Chuck Ledley, sister-in-law, Donna Heilman, several nieces and nephews and special nephew, James (Heather) Heilman.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Ledley, son, Lewis Earl Heilman Jr., great grandson, Lucian Ledley, and a brother, Timothy Heilman.
Lewis had worked at Morton Building in Kenton for over 30 years and retired as a Maintenance Supervisor.
He enjoyed fishing, wood working, and in his younger years he loved to go bowling, he even scored a perfect 300 game. You could always catch Lewis eating breakfast every day at Sisters Midway Restaurant in Kenton, where he made a lot of friends.
Memorial donations in Lewis's honor may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
