Private burial for Larry D. Brown will take place at Otterbein Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.
He died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Marion General Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1941 in Dudley Township to the late Earl Eugene and Vivian Ruth (Linke) Brown. On September 26, 1964 he married Kathleen Dugan and she survives in Mt. Victory.
Also surviving are a daughter; Lynne (Dan) Wetmore of Albuquerque, NM, 3 sons; L. David (Angela Brady) Brown of Cincinnati, Steven E. Brown of Akron, Doug (Crissy) Brown of West Mansfield, 4 grandchildren; Madison Brown, Sam Wetmore, Toby Wetmore, and Elissa (Justin) Gray.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Marilyn Kampf.
Larry worked as a machinist for Rockwell for 30 years before he retired. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kenton.
Larry was an outdoorsman, whom enjoyed hunting, fishing, tending his garden and wood working. He was a member of the Hardin County Pheasants Forever Chapter #212 Treasurer Tom Kier, 1487 Township Rd 41, Ada OH 45810, and the Hardin County Coon Hunters Club and enjoyed the many activities that came along with those groups. He was also a member of the Kenton Moose, Elks and Amvets Post 1994.
When he wasn't outdoors, Larry would be playing cards or watching sports. His favorite teams were The OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hardin County Pheasants Forever Chapter #212.
