of Dunkirk
Visitation for Scott Schlatter will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Cremation will follow.
Scott passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at his residence in Dunkirk. He was born on February 22, 1967, in Findlay to the late Judith (Price) and Kenneth E. Schlatter Jr. On August 3, 1989, he married Charity Reustle, and she survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are 5 children, Tricia Drummond, Kenneth (SaraJane) Schlatter, Shelby (Jarrod) Jolliff, Wesley Schlatter, Zoe Nave, 8 grandchildren, Levi, Cody, Liam, Johnathan, LilyAnn, Jacob, Nova, Penelope, with one on the way, a sister, Lori (Sam) Kalb, brother, Brett (Kerri) Schlatter, and several nice and nephews.
Scott was a 1985 graduate of Riverdale High School. He worked for Morton Buildings as a maintenance supervisor for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kenton.
Scott had a deep passion for drag racing and working on his drag cars. He was the owner/operator of Fly Away Racing where he traveled all over racing and was still racing even when he became ill.
In his free time, Scott enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Scott's honor may be made to Shirley's Kids, a nonprofit organization to help underprivileged children.
