Keith Dewese

A visitation for Keith M. Dewese will be held on August 18, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at the McGuffey Church of Christ. Burial will take place at Lewis Grove Cemetery in Lima, Ohio at a later date. It was his wish to be cremated. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Keith passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at his residence with his loving family around him. He was born on August 27, 1939, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Paul and Dorothy Dewese. He married Susan D. Joseph on January 10, 1959, and she survives in Kenton.

Also surviving are 4 boys; Dwight (Caroline Rush), David (Mary Beth Gates), Darrell, Douglas (Aftan Campbell), 3 brothers; Kenneth, Tommie, and Ronnie, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Keith attended Western School in Weston, Ohio. After high school he attended North Manchester College in Indiana and graduated from Findlay College with a bachelor's degree. He then went on to receive his master's degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Keith taught math and physics at Bloomville, Harrod-Allen East and Hicksville, Ohio. He finished his career in Kenton after 30 years.

He was an Elder at Central Church of Christ for 25 years. He also attended and served at McGuffey Church of Christ. 

Keith spent his summers painting houses with his boys. When he wasn't painting, he loved to camp with his family and spend time with his grandchildren. Keith had a saying, "When you make it to Heaven, I will be there to meet you at the Eastern Gate with my Lord and Savior". 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Keith's honor may be made to the McGuffey Church of Christ or Universal Hospice.
