Funeral services for Kathleen I. Brown will be private. Burial will take place at Otterbein Cemetery. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

She died on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Bluebird Retirement Community in Marysville, OH.  Kathleen was born April 29, 1946, in Kenton to the late Donald C. and Patrice (Jordan) Dugan.  On September 26, 1964, she married Larry D. Brown, Sr and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2020.

Kathleen is survived by sons, L. David (Angela Brady) Brown, Jr. of Nashville, TN, Doug (Crissy) Brown of West Mansfield, OH and daughter Lynne (Dan) Wetmore of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Madison Brown, Samuel Wetmore, Tobin Wetmore and Elissa (Justin) Gray; great-grandchildren Mason and Murphy Gray; sisters Elizabeth Anne Morris of Kenton, OH, Dixie (Richard) DeWitt of Mount Victory, OH and brother Harry (Keitha) Dugan of Bellefontaine, OH.  She was preceded in death by son Steve and brothers John and Donald.

Kathleen grew up on a dairy and crop farm.  As a young girl, she enjoyed family trips to Florida and Canada.  Kathleen worked in the Hardin County Recorder's Office, retiring in 2014.  She led a very active life.  Kathleen enjoyed spending time with family, having tea parties with grandchildren, tending to her flower beds, gardening and genealogy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hardin County Genealogy Society or to the donor's choice.
