Services for Karla J. Bailey will be held at 11:00 Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Walnut Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Douglas Flinn Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Dunkirk Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 Friday, April 20, 2018 at Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton.
She died at 4:42 pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. She was born on November 25, 1938 in Utica, Ohio. The daughter of the late Dwight and Phyllis (McKey) Litzenberg. On January 18, 1959 she married Henry "Hank" Bailey and he survives in Dunkirk.
Also surviving are her children, Dwight Oglesbee of Dayton and Leslie Craig of Kenton;  grandchildren, Nicole Oglesbee of Dayton, Jenelle Oglesbee of Kenton, Ryan Craig of Kenton, and Joseph Craig of Lima, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. As well as 2 brothers, Paul Gregg Jenkins Sr. of Florida and John Michael Shupe of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son Douglas Bailey.
She owned and operated the former Karla's Kitchen in Dunkirk and later worked at K-Mart.
Karla was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church and a former member of the Eastern Star, where she was a Worthy Matron 13 times. She loved to bake pies, quilting, and her flowers.
