 A memorial service for Joyce Ralph will be held at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 P.M. until the time of services. Burial in Grove Cemetery will take place at a later date. The family is requesting that everyone please dress casually. 
Joyce  passed away Sunday August 28, 2022 at Kenton Nursing and Rehab in Kenton, Ohio. 
Joyce was born July 18, 1933 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to the late Kenneth Maffett  Altvater and Myrtle Parish. Joyce was one of fifteen children. She married Richard "Shorty" Donald Ralph June 18, 1952, in Upper Sandusky. They had one daughter, Pamela 
Sue Alexander. Joyce was preceded in death by both Richard and Pamela, both 
her parents, and 13 of her siblings. 
She is survived by a granddaughter; Nicole Lee Bristoll (Chad), a brother; Dwight Altvater (Linda) of Greencamp, OH and a sister; Audrey Hill of Seymour, IN and many nieces and nephews. 
Joyce worked many years at Tecumseh Products in Marion. After retiring from there, Joyce and Richard owned and operated the Eastcrest Dairy Freeze in Kenton for many years. 
Joyce had many interests over the years, but her family was most important. She also enjoyed her kitties, bowling, dancing, and talking over coffee. 
In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting a memorial to The Hardin County Humane Society.
