Joyce Anne (Friedel) Biddinger of Findlay and formerly of Kenton, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital surrounded by members of her family. She was born on July 13, 1932, in Kenton, Ohio to the late Harold and Hazel (Sponseller) Friedel.
Joyce married the love of her life, H. Cliff Biddinger, on November 7, 1953. They raised four children: Pat (Mike) Young, Pam Kraft, David (Margaret) Biddinger and Jeff (Connie) Biddinger. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Amber, Shelley, Matt, Nicole, Allison, several great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and sister, Diane (Rick) Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. H. William Friedel.
Joyce was a 1950 graduate of Kenton High School and a 1954 graduate of Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. After graduating from nursing school, Joyce passed the Ohio State Nursing Boards and became a Registered Nurse. She worked for 21 years at San Antonio and Hardin Memorial Hospitals in Kenton. During her time there, she served in a variety of roles including staff nurse in several departments, Director of In-Service Education, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Head Nurse in the Emergency Room. Joyce was later employed for 21 years by Kenton Surgical Corporation (Dr. Lindsey and Dr. Morris) as an office nurse. She retired in February 1995.
Joyce volunteered for various organizations in Kenton and Findlay. She also enjoyed traveling in this country and abroad. Most of all, she treasured time spent with family and friends.
While living in Kenton, Joyce was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. After moving to Findlay, she became a member of Salem Cass United Methodist Church.
Joyce was known as the "rock of the family', a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services for Joyce will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Grove Cemetery Committal Building with Pastor Ben Lowell officiating. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
