Graveside services for Josephine Ward will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at Grove Cemetery Committal Building with Pastor David Robertson officiating. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Josephine passed away on Monday, August 07, 2023, at her residence. She was born on September 03, 1936, in Kenton to the late Joseph and Pauline (Jones) Hatch. She married Robert Ward on November 25, 1953, and he preceded her in death on July 10, 2022.

Surviving is a son; David Ward of Harrod, 3 grandchildren; David (Dawn) Ward II, Christina Howe, Brandon Oates, 5 great-grandchildren; Aidan Gatchell, Alexander Gatchell, Amya Francis, Riley Francis, Arya Ward, siblings; Barbara Beltz of Tennessee, Judy Cripe of Indiana, Mary Jo Hensley of West Liberty, Steve Hatch of Columbus, Bobby Hatch of Kenton, Micheal Pennington of Marion and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Osburn and 2 sisters: Marilyn Cole and Connie Houseworth.

Josephine was a member of Faith Baptist Church for many years.

She enjoyed reading and going to church where she also taught Sunday School.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Josephine's honor may be made to the Faith Baptist Church of Kenton.
