Funeral Services for John Heffernan will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Pastor Steve Hess officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Otterbein Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 2 hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
John passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. He was born on February 9, 1944 to the late Bernard and Francis (Taylor) Heffernan. On May 15, 1980 he married Judith Price and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are sons; Steven (Debra) Williamson of Kenton, Gary Williamson of Kenton, Dale (Ann) Williamson of Columbus, grandchildren; Nathan and Chad Williamson, Christina (Josh) Bowman, Tegan Morris and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 1 sister; Nancy Rittal and a nephew; Phil Rittal.
John was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. 
He retired from the Ohio Bureau Of Employment Services. 
John was a member of Kenton Chrisitian Missionary Alliance Church and the Black Swamp Driving Club.
He loved Standardbred horses, Draft horses, fishing, hunting, farming and just being outdoors. 
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Black Swamp Driving Club or the Hardin County Fairgrounds.
