of Kenton
Funeral services for Jane Alice (McKinley) Sherman will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton with Rev. John Mummert officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the funeral home.
Jane passed away at her home on Saturday, February 4, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1943 in Hepburn, Ohio to the late Curt and Etta Mae (Armentrout) McKinley. On October 15, 1967 she married Dale Sherman and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are her two children; Joseph Curt (Tammy) Sherman, Jennifer Dale Sherman both of Kenton, grandchildren; Jenna LeNee' and Tye Andrew Joseph Sherman of Kenton, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters; Betty Schoer and Joanne Latham.
Jane was a 1961 graduate of Kenton High School. She worked as a bank teller.
Jane was a dedicated member of the Salem United Church of Christ for over 56 years. She served as the church organist for 40 years and the church secretary for many years as well. She was a long standing member of the Salem's Women's guild, where she was an officer for many years.
Jane loved her family fiercely. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. In her free time, Jane enjoyed playing rummy, reading and writing poetry. She always was an avid OSU Football and Dallas Cowboys fan.
