Funeral services for James Daniel Stewart will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory with Pastor Cory Savage officiating. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery. Friends and family may visit 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

James passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, with hospice care at the Kenton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Logan County, Ohio on November 6, 1938, to the late John and Flora (Jones) Stewart. He met his wife of 60 years, Susie (Mullins) Stewart and they were married on March 26, 1965, and she survives in Mt. Victory.

Also surviving are his 2 sons: Mike (Brian) Stewart of Phoenix, Az. and David (Jody) Stewart, grandson, Damien Stewart and granddaughter, Brooke Stewart.

James was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wanda Jane (Ronnie) Williams, 10 brothers-in-laws, and 10 sisters-in-laws.

He was a 1956 graduate from Mt. Victory High School.

James proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 1/2 years. He worked at Rockwell in Kenton as an electrician and retired after 30 years. 

James was a long-time member of the Ridgeway Church of Christ having served as a Sunday School Teacher, church treasure, Deacon and Elder of the church. He was also President of the Rockwell Credit union for a period of time.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jame's honor to the Ridgeway Church of Christ.
