Harold Van Fossen 90
of Mt. Victory
A funeral service for Harold Van Fossen will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory with Pastor Craig Bradds officiating. Burial will follow at Byhalia Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the funeral home.
Harold passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine. He was born to the late Maywood and Mabel (Kirk) Van Fossen on March 3, 1933 in Freeport, Ohio. He married Phyllis (McIntosh) Wiley on July 16, 1983.
Harold is survived by wife, Phyllis, a sister; Effie DeVolld of Old Washington, children; Sue Van Fossen of Columbus, Jan Van Fossen of Columbus, Tammy (Russel) Fout of Mt. Victory, Roxanne (Dwight) Friermood of Mt. Victory, Cindy (Jeff) Brown Mt. Victory, and Randy (Kari) Wiley of Richwood, 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lloyd Van Fossen, Joseph Van Fossen, 1 sister, Violet Van Fossen, 2 sons, Max Van Fossen and Greg Wiley and a great granddaughter Myah Knecht.
Harold was a truck driver for 42 years at Roadway and Hartley Gas Company. He also worked at Cambridge Dairy.
His favorite things to do were birdwatching, woodworking and mowing.
In honor of his great-granddaughter Myah, memorial donations for Harold may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
