Funeral services for Gerald "Jerry" Dwain Fraber, age 92, of Kenton, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home two hours prior to the services.

Jerry passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Trustwell Blanchard Place in Kenton. He was born on January 3, 1934, in Mt. Victory to the late Gerald C. and Ruth (Smith) Fraber. On March 21, 1958, he married Gertrude "Gertie" Phillips, who preceded him in death on May 27, 2019.

Surviving are four daughters: Kris (Merlin) Poe of West Chester, Ohio; Dolores (Jon) Jenkins of Zanesfield; Elizabeth "Libby" (Todd) Gray of Groveport; and Heidi (Devin) Jones of Ostrander. He is also survived by two sons: Michael "Tony" (Susan) Fraber of Bellefontaine and Hans (Kimberly) Fraber of Huntersville, N.C.; as well as 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Tiana; sisters, Mary Ann Kinnear and Delores Walker; and brother, Robert Fraber.

Jerry was a 1952 graduate of Mt. Victory High School and proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean Conflict, working with sonar. He later worked as an electrician for the Electrician's Union Local 32 in Lima, Ohio, retiring in 1996 after 34 years. He also worked several side businesses doing transmission service and repair, golf club repair, and T & J Electric and co-owned Hole N' One Doughnuts with his wife.

Active in his community, Jerry was a member and board member of the Veterans Memorial Golf Course, a member of the Council on Aging where he received the senior citizen of the year award 2 times, the Kenton Moose, and the Garden Club and Roosters Club in Mt. Victory. He served as a Boy Scout Leader and started the local girls' softball program, coaching its first teams. Jerry also loved playing the saxophone, woodworking, and golfing—celebrating two career holes-in-one. He was an avid fan of the Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians. Jerry also enjoyed riding his bicycle and was a member of the Goba Bicycle Club.

Memorial contributions in Jerry's honor may be made to God's Lifeline or the Veterans Memorial Golf Course.
