Eva passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her residence with her family around her. She was born on September 29, 1950 in Kenton to the late Edward and Hester (Wilson) Lightner. She married Rick Spears on July 31, 1971 and he survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are 2 daughters; Bobby Jo (Mark) Kemmere of Florida, Jamie (Travis) Lattimer of Lima, 7 grandchildren; Zach Fowler, Cody Francis, Mark Adam Kemmere, Taylor (Corbin Crouse) Kemmere, Jasmine Lattimer, Tyson Lattimer, Malia Lattimer, 5 great-grandchildren; Lincoln, Zoey, Andrew, and Grace Francis, Jameson Adam Kemmere, 1 great-grandchild on the way, 2 sisters; Betty Lafferty, Bonnie (Chester) Baughman, 3 brothers; Jess, Jim and Steve (Lisa) Lighter.
She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Billy, Eddie, Johnny and Jack Lightner, 3 sisters; Verna Miller, Judy Flowers and Carolynn Tucker.
Eva worked as a caregiver for the elderly in the local area.
Eva lived a simple life. She enjoyed going fishing with her husband and gardening. She had a passion for collecting anything to do with cardinals, hummingbirds and Indians. She will be deeply missed by her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home in care of the family.
