A graveside service for Ervin Eugene Brown will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Mt. Victory. Military rites will be performed by Amvets Post 1994 of Kenton. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory is assisting the family with arrangements.
Ervin passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the Arbors of Delaware. He was born on August 10, 1948 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Percy and Celesta (Penny) Brown. He married Barbara Shoffner and they later divorced.
Surviving are 2 sons; Brent Brown of Lima, Bradley Brown of Mt. Victory, a sister; Sally (Ralph) Sare of Marion, a brother; Russ (Virgina) Brown of Byhalia, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Athena Brown, and 8 siblings; Wilbur Brown, Erdine Grose, Gordon Brown, Charles Brown, Gerald Brown, Jim Brown, Nolan Brown and Bernie Brown.
Ervin was a 1966 Ridgemont High School graduate. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Marion VFW Post.
Ervin worked for Fairfield Engineering in Marion where he was also the Union President for 32 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Amvets Post 1994 in Kenton.
