Eleanor Jane Hipsher passed away on Monday, January 30, 2023 at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born July 15, 1941 in Forest, OH to the late F. Bailey and Dorothy (Oates) McKinley. On April 6, 1962, Eleanor married Lanny Hipsher, and he survives in Dunkirk.  
Also surviving are her children, Wesley (Melinda) Hipsher of Dunkirk, Lisa (Richard) Walden of Dunkirk, and Craig Hipsher of Lima, her grandchildren, Molly (Seth) Evans, Kyle Hipsher, Lindsay (Justin) Hollar, Brady (Miranda Holbrook) Hipsher, and Kathrine Hipsher, her great grandchildren, Jackson and Owen Evans and numerous nieces and nephews. 
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Janette Bibler, Sue Grubbs, Gerald McKinley, Ronald McKinley, and John McKinley.
Eleanor was a 1959 graduate of Hardin Northern School. She retired from Findlay Whirlpool after having also worked at Centrex, as a kindergarten aide at Hardin Northern School, and at RBM, where she met her partner of over 60 years, Lanny. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and mother’s club. Her focus then turned to her children’s and grandchildren’s activities where she never missed a game or event and was always their biggest fan. In her later years, Eleanor enjoyed traveling and day trips, especially those to a casino.
Funeral services for Eleanor Hipsher will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at the Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton, OH. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dunkirk Cemetery. 
Memorials may be made to the Dunkirk Grace United Methodist Church.
