A graveside service for Edward Bowman will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Grove Cemetery in Kenton. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Ohio State University Hospital. He was born September 13, 1959 to the late Delbert W. Bowman and Lois C. Bowman, whom survives in Marion. On May 28, 1983 he married Karen R. (Roberts) Bowman and she survives in Kenton.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeb Wayne Bowman (July 19, 2008), father-­in-law, Carold Roberts, mother-in-law, Betty L. (Osborn) Roberts and Timothy Roberts, nephew.

Also surviving are two sisters, Debbie (Larry) Price of LaRue and Caryl Ault. Two brother-in-laws and a sister-in-law, Tom (Barb) Roberts of Dola, Terry (Eleanor) Roberts of Cardington, and Carol (David) Scott of Kenton.

Nieces and nephews, Greta (Jeremy) Kanagy of Caledonia, Chelsea (Shawn) Smith of Kenton, Shelby Ault of Findlay, Alex (Dewayne) Rigsby of Kenton, Wade (Gina) Roberts of Bexley, and Steve (Katie) Roberts of Kenton.

Great nieces and great nephews, Rebecca Rigsby, Grace Roberts, Lane Kanagy, Hayden Kanagy, Andon Roberts, Rylie Rigsby and Deacon Ault-Monday.

Ed was a 1977 graduate of Hardin Northern High School. He worked for Ford Motor Company of Lima from 1999 until his passing.

Ed, often referred to as Sly, was an avid hunter along with his hunting family of (Randy Casper, Larry Ludwig, Jim Steele, Jeff & Josh Madison). He also enjoyed trapping, camping, and was a previous McGuffey firefighter. He was a member of Moose Lodge #428, FOE Eagles #2163, the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers and the Ohio State Trappers Association.

Ed enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. He was a great father, husband, son and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and beloved dog, Dakota.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jeb W. Bowman Scholarship at Hardin Northern or Quest Federal Credit Union or donor's choice.
